Obituary of Winifred Dalen Ketchem

Winifred Dalen Ketcham,age 91, passed away June 6, 2008 at Laurie Care Center, Laurie, Missouri. She was born Winifred Ida May Behrendt on June 2, 1917 in New York City. She was the second of seven children born to Paul and Charlotte Behrendt. She married Allan Dalen on September 18, 1938 and they raised four children. They retired to Franklin, North Carolina in 1973 and Al Dalen died in 1984. She married Edwin Ketcham in 1989 and he died in 1996. Winnie, as she liked to be known, moved to Missouri in May of 1998 where she lived near daughter, Charlotte Gaden. Winnie worked for the phone company in her employment years and very much enjoyed rock hounding and making wire and rock jewelry in her retirement. Winifred survived her parents, two brothers and three sisters and one infant daughter, Leone. She is survived by two sons in New York, one daughter in North Carolina and one daughter in Stover, Missouri, ten grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren. Winifred will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
