Obituary of Ray Floyd Williams

Ray Floyd Williams, Sr., age 75, of Macks Creek, Missouri, departed this life on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at his residence in Macks Creek. Ray was born April 9, 1935 in Clarkton, Missouri, the son of William and Agnes Mattie (Key) Williams. Ray joined the United States Navy on February 16, 1956 and was honorably discharged on January 29, 1962 after serving his country proudly both in Korea and Vietnam. He was married to Donna Moore while stationed in Dan Diego, who also served in the Navy. They were married 41 years. Ray worked in construction as a carpenter. He was a member of the the Carpenters Union #547 for 27 years, of which he was very proud. He retired in 1989 and moved to Macks Creek, where he enjoyed fishing, off-roading, camping and traveling. Ray is survived by his children, Ray Floyd Williams, Jr., currently of Syracuse, New York; Daughters, Kay Williams and Diane Sue Glover, both of El Cajon, California; four Grandchildren, Jason and Steve Phores, and Dallas and Dennis glover; Great Grandchildren, Christopher Phores, Adam Schoen-Glover, Kayla Ray and Coden Dallas Glover, all of San Diego County, California; two sisters, Freda Clements of Los Angeles, California and Barbara Granitt of Moberly, Missouri, along with several other relatives and friends. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Donna Rae Williams of 41 years.
