Obituary of Walter Thomas Forest

Walter Thomas �Wally� Forest, age 82, of Four Seasons, Missouri, departed this life on Sunday, February 27, 2011 at Columbia Regional Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. He was born July 21, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Walter John and Mary (Piertowski) Foszcz. Wally had served his country proudly as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force. He was united in marriage to Rosemarie Valha on December 29, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois, and together they had shared the past 59 years until his death. Wally had worked as an engineer for AT&T / Lucent Corporation. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake Ozark, Missouri and The Knights of Columbus as well. He served as a volunteer at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach and Hope House in Lake Ozark. In his spare time he enjoyed boating, reading and spending time on his computer. Wally is survived by his loving wife Rosemarie of the home; two sons, Greg Forest and wife, Kari, of Clairemore, Oklahoma and Ken Forest and wife, Renee, of Atlanta, Georgia; one daughter, Kathy Gunn and husband, Henry, of Atlanta, Georgia; six grandchildren, Tracy, Michael, Chris, Jessica, Lori and Brad and two great-grandchildren, Tori and Abby, as well as several other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
