Obituary of Russell C. Schwilling

Russell C. Schwilling, 84, of Osage Beach, Missouri, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2011 at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach. Russell was born March 25, 1926 in Clements, Kansas, the son of Joseph and Esther (Twining) Schwilling. He was united in marriage to Norma Pritchett on December 10, 1949 in Strong City, Kansas, and together they had shared the past 61 years until his death. Russell had served his country proudly in the United State Navy. Russell worked as a heavy equipment operator for many years in the construction business. He was a 50 year member of Zeredtha Masonic Lodge #80 AF & AM in Cottonwood Falls, Kansas, a 50 year member of the Cottonwood Falls Order of the Eastern Star #25, dual member of Erie Chapter 332 Order of the Eastern Star in Camdenton, Missouri, a life-member of the American Legion in Cottonwood Falls, Kansas, a life-member of the VFW in Emporia, Kansas, and was a member of Horseshoe Bend Baptist Church in Lake Ozark, Missouri. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family. Russell is survived by his wife Norma of the home; two sons, James Russell Schwilling and wife, Sharon, of Blairsden, California and Jeffrey Randall Schwilling and wife, Carmen, of Harveyville, Kansas; one daughter, Jeanne Rae Harshman and husband, Frank, of Lake Ozark, Missouri; two brothers, Harry Schwilling and wife, Dee, of Wichita, Kansas and Wayne Schwilling and wife, Sue, of Strong City, Kansas; two sisters, Bernice Weamer and husband, Doc, of Ottawa, Kansas and Shirley Cowdrey of Olathe, Kansas; six grandchildren, Lindsay Clare Ford and husband, Jonathan, Sheldon L. Harshman and wife, Jamie, Courtney Jo Schwilling, Joshua Schwilling, Trey Schwilling and Luke Schwilling; four great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Ford, Ethan Ford, Aidan Ford and Savanna Sardou, as well as several other relatives and friends.
