Obituary of DeeAnna Kay Mahler

DeeAnna Kay Mahler, age 62, of Camdenton, Missouri, departed this life on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at her home in Camdenton. DeeAnna was born August 11, 1948 in Ft. Scott, Kansas, the daughter of Jack Murphey and Hazel B. (Bybee) Hencey. DeeAnna worked as a secretary for the City of Hope. Among her many hobbies, she enjoyed gardening, geneology, scrapbooking and crafts. She also loved traveling, cake decorating, candy making and cooking. More than anything, she loved spending time and caring for her loved ones. DeeAnna was a member of Dragon Lake Arts and Crafts Club and was a volunteer at Helping Hands Homeless Shelter in Camdenton. She will be sorely missed by all. She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Glenn Mahler, of the home; her mother Hazel B. Crawford of Redfield, Kansas; one son, Shawn Laver and wife, Stephanie, of Camdenton, Missouri; one daughter, Laurie Houdashelt of Redfield, Kansas; one brother Gary Hencey of Redfield, Kansas; twelve grandchildren and a very large host of extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Murphey Hencey.
