Obituary of Gary Edward Schnieder
Gary Edward Schneider, age 74, of Osage Beach, Missouri, formerly of Maryville, Missouri, departed this life on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Gary was born October 22, 1936 in Lansing, Kansas, the son of Peter W. and Anna M. (Kolb) Schneider.
Gary graduated from Lansing High School in 1954 and graduated from Northwest Missouri State University in 1960 with a B.S. in Chemistry and was member of Sigma Phi Epsilon. He owned and operated the Lil� Duffer in Maryville, Missouri and was a gunsmith. He was currently working as a Field Supervisor for the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education for 24 years.
Gary served in the Army and was a member of the Elks, Maryville Jaycees, and served on the Maryville School Board.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Norma (Welch) Schneider, of the home; one son, Craig Schneider and wife, Christy, of Osage Beach, Missouri; two daughters, Dana Schneider of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Suzi Schneider-Anderson and husband, Jeff, of Maryville, Missouri; and three grandchildren, Ashley, Quintin and Kuria.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Anna Marie, Helen, and Dorothy; and one brother William.
