Obituary of Mary Irene Hodge

Mary Irene Hodge, age 82, of Macks Creek, Missouri, departed this life on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Windsor Estates, Camdenton, Missouri. Mary was born April 19, 1929 in Climax Springs, Missouri, the daughter of Wilmer and Eda (Park) Green. She was united in marriage to John Henry Hodge on April 28, 1948 in Harrison, Arkansas, who preceded her in death in 1972. Mary worked as a dietician for Camden Nursing Home in Harrisonville, Missouri. In her spare time she loved sewing, gardening and especially cooking. More than anything, she loved spending time with and caring for her loved ones. Mary was of the Baptist faith. She will be sorely missed by all. Mary is survived by her two sons; John Hodge and wife, Gina, of Camdenton, Missouri and Kenneth Hodge of Macks Creek, Missouri; three daughters, Dinah Alfaro of Columbia, Missouri, Shirley Hanneman and husband, Mike, of Raymore, Missouri and Linda Townsend and husband, Edgar, of Clinton, Missouri; eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; three sisters, Joann Linton of Macks Creek, Missouri, Jean King and husband, Jim, of Milford Kansas and Edna Preciado and husband, Charlie, of Claremore, Oklahoma, along with several other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Cody; one grandson, Dewayne Townsend; five brothers and one sister.
