Obituary of Gladys P. Freisner

Gladys Patricia Friesner, age 75, of Lake Ozark, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2011, at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, Missouri. Gladys was born June 17, 1935, in Madison County, Iowa, a daughter to Albert and Gladys Rooney She was united in marriage to Verle Friesner on June 22, 1952 in Des Moines, Iowa and together they had shared the past 58 years until her death. Gladys owned and operated Friesner Resort, one of the first three resorts on the Lake of the Ozarks. In her spare time she enjoyed craft shows and selling her homemade fudge. She attended the Assembly of God Church in Rocky Mount, Missouri, where she loved doing good things for everyone. Gladys is survived by her husband Verle, of the home; one son, David and his wife Stacy of St. Louis; three grandchildren; three brothers, Robert and his wife Sandy of Arkansas, Ronnie and his wife Judy of Iowa and Alan and his wife Gaylea of Illinois; one sister Phyllis and her husband Rod of Iowa, along with several other relatives and friends. Gladys was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Michael; and one brother, Albert.
