Obituary of Dennis B. Scrivner

Dennis B. Scrivner, age 90, of Kaiser, Missouri, departed this life on Monday, May 9, 2011, at Osage Beach Health Care Center, Osage Beach, Missouri. He was born June 13, 1920, in Lady Smith, Wisconsin, the son of Roy and Margaret Bernier) Scrivner. He married Ruby Sanderson on October 31, 1938. They were married for 65 years until her death in 2004. Dennis had served his country proudly in the United States Army in WW II serving in Guam with the 275 ENG HVY Shop Company. After returning from the War he worked in the construction industry as an equipment operator. He moved his family to Brumley, Missouri in 1967 where he farmed until returning to construction several years later. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Garnett, Kansas. Dennis is survived by his children; Daniel Scrivner and wife Jennie of Eldon, Dennis Scrivner and wife Karen of Leavenworth, Kansas, David Scrivner and wife Phyllis of Peculiar, Missouri, Greg Scrivner and wife Denise of Kaiser, Missouri, Pam Williams and husband Darren, of Osage Beach, Missouri, Renee McDowell and husband Tommie, of Brumley, Missouri, and Kim Marriott of Williamsburg, Kansas, twelve grandchildren and twenty five great-grandchildren, four great- great grandchildren, brother Robert Scrivner and wife June of Appleton City, Missouri, along with several other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Vernon and Melvin, sister, Beatrice and grandsons Doug and Keith Scrivner.
