Obituary of Zora I. Parsons

Zora I. Parsons, age 91, of Osage Beach, Missouri, departed this life on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Lake Regional Health System, Osage Beach, Missouri. Zora was born March 14, 1920 in Mirage, Colorado, the daughter of William P. and Sara Jane (Lumbert) Clutter. She was united in marriage to Floyd Major Parsons on September 15, 1940 in New Mexico. Zora enjoyed gardening and growing her flowers and vegetables. She also enjoyed mushroom hunting, making craft items and quilting. Zora loved the mountains in Colorado, but her greatest joy was cooking for her family and spending time with them. She is survived by her son, Kenneth and his wife Sandy of Eugene, Missouri; two daughters, Bonnie Knewtson and her husband Gary of Carl Junction, Missouri and Patricia Sanders of Osage Beach, Missouri; three brothers, Dan, Bob and Jack Clutter and two sisters Rose and Helen; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren along with several other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Floyd, one son-in-law Ronald Sanders, and four brothers.
