Obituary of Eunice Hill

Eunice Hill age 90, of Roach, Missouri passed Monday, May 30, 2011 at the Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, Missouri. On November 8, 1919 somewhere in Hickory County around Preston, Missouri Eunice Russell was born. Her parents were John and Cora (Erickson) Russell. Eunice was the oldest of 9 children; two brothers, Warren John and Earl Harrison; six sisters, Mary Harris, Ester Brockman, Louella Stark, Jessie Hemme, Martha Rafferty and Glenda Bell who have all passed on except Martha of Warsaw, Missouri and Jessie of Sweet Springs, Missouri. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. On September 20, 1937 she married Norman Stoufer, better known as� Uncle Ticky�, who passed away on December 4, 1974. She later was married on September 18, 1983 to Frank Hill who passed away on February 14, 1991. She has a long time companion of several years Jack McCully. Eunice was a hard worker. When she lived on the farm she put up hay, took care of the cows and fed the chickens, carried water to the house, and cooked with a wood burning cook stove. She also worked at a restaurant where she did many chores including dishwashing, cleaning the floors and cooking. She was known for her apple pies. She loved doing yard work and gardening, which also included roses, flowers, and fruits and vegetables. She also loved to fish and owned and operated a shop in Macks Creek, Missouri called �The Crow�s Nest.�
