Obituary of DeVee Weatherman

DeVee Elizabeth Weatherman, age 87 of Osage Beach, Missouri passed away on June 5, 2011. She was born September 14, 1923 in Conrad, IA, daughter of Mark E. and Victoria E. (Bowers) Ralston. She was united in marriage to Richard H. Weatherman on August 3, 1945. DeVee is survived by her four children; 3 sons and 1 daughter. Dennis and wife, Darlene of Turtle Lake, Wisconsin; Dick and wife, Marilyn of Denison, Iowa; Daryl of Osage Beach, Missouri and Diane and husband, Steve of Lake Ozark, Missouri. She will also be missed by six wonderful grandchildren; Daryn Weatherman and wife Lori, Chad Weatherman, Derek Weatherman and wife Pam, Shauna Freidel and husband, Brad, Ty Weatherman and wife, Chrissy and Mark Weatherman and wife, Natalie. She has five great-grandchildren; Kyle Weatherman, Kerstyn Weatherman, Clayton Weatherman, Brooke Weatherman and Lexie Weatherman. One brother, Les Ralston and wife, Perle of Conrad, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, her parents, three sisters and four brothers and one great-grandchild. DeVee enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved reading, sports of any kind as she played basketball in high school, was in the band and played piano. She worked at Central Iowa Telephone Company in Conrad, Iowa as an operator after graduating from high school, then for Bell Telephone in Des Moines and Marshalltown, Iowa. After moving to Missouri in 1968, she worked as a store manager until retiring. She was a caring, devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother, sister, aunt and a caring friend to all who knew her.
