Obituary of Harold L. Jeffries

Harold Laverne Jeffries, age 75, of Ulman, Missouri, departed this life on Monday, June 13, 2011 at Lake Regional Health System, Osage Beach, Missouri. Harold was born November 12, 1935 in Brumley, Missouri, the son of Virgil Jeffries and Cecille (Jeffries) Jeffries. Harold joined the United States Army and was trained in Fort Leonard Wood. He then transferred to Fort Belvoo, Virginia for sixteen weeks, then to Venencia, Italy for sixteen weeks. He finished out six years in active duty as a camouflage engineer. Harold was very proud to have served his country. Harold was an extremely fun loving, outgoing person who enjoyed life to its fullest. He enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting and playing cards. He worked most of his life in an auto body shop. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Timothy, and his sisters, Ruth Hargis and Lucille Hargis. He is survived by his adopted children, Joe Jeffries, Glen Jeffries, Renae Byrd, Mijha Leisure and Amber; his brothers, Jerry, Dennis and Lester; his sisters, Irma Byrd, Louise Thorson, Faye Burks and Nelda Varner; a special niece, Kathy Jeffries; several grandchildren and great- grandchildren, as well as many other family members and friends.
