Obituary of Thomas E. Sowman

Thomas E. �Tom� Sowman, age 89, of Osage Beach, Missouri, departed this life on Friday, July 1, 2011 at Osage Beach Health Care and Rehabilitation Center, Osage Beach, Missouri. Tom was born August 19, 1921 in Murphysboro, Illinois, the son of Harold and Selma (Cromber) Sowman. He was united in marriage on September 26, 1990 in St. Louis, Missouri to Vera Zimmerman. Tom is survived by his wife Vera; one daughter, Christine Michalek of Mundeleine, Illinois; two brothers, Harold Sowman and James Sowman and wife Jeannette; one sister, Doris Reimann; two granddaughters; two grandsons; and one great-grandson, along with several other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one step-daughter, Barbara Essen.
