Obituary of Marian Singer

Marian Singer, age 79, of Osage Beach, Missouri, departed this life on Saturday, July 2, 2011 at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach. Marian was born January 23, 1932 in E. St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Kenneth and Helen McGinnis. She was united in marriage to Stewart Singer on March 15, 1952 at Scott Air Force Base in Belleville, Illinois, sharing 59 years together until her death. Marian devoted her life to her family and enjoyed her role as a homemaker. She had lived in many different places; almost all parts of the United States, along with four years in Japan and three years in Bagota� Columbia, South America. After retirement, she and her husband traveled a great deal. She especially enjoyed going on cruises. She also enjoyed playing Bridge and was a good Scrabble player. Perhaps her greatest joy in life was volunteering for Lake Regional Health System where she where she had put in 18 years and nearly 4000 hours of service. Marian is survived by her husband, Stewart; her sons, Lawrence and wife, Bobbi, of Jacksonville, Florida, Richard and wife Pam, of Madison, Wisconsin, Mark of Madison, Wisconsin, and Thomas, of LaCrosse, Wisconsin; one brother, Kenneth McGinnis and wife Margie, of Belleville, Illinois; two sisters, Pat Renshaw of Kerrville, Texas and Joyce Rosen and husband Harold, of St. Louis, Missouri; along with several other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Bob, Richard and Mike
