Obituary of Martha Frances Silcox

Martha Frances Silcox, nee Jeffers, age 86, wife of the late Howard Silcox, departed this life august 23, 2011 at Lake Regional Health System, Osage Beach, Missouri. Martha was born January 10, 1925 in Paragould, Arkansas to Delmer Jeffers and Opal Eder. Martha had worked as a waitress for nearly 40 years in the St. Louis area. In 1999 she moved to Osage Beach, Missouri, where her daughter Joyce and son-in-law Richard McDonald resided. Due to illness, Martha moved to Osage Beach Health Care Center in 2004 and made many friends there over the past several years. Martha is survived by her daughter Joyce McDonald and sister-in-law Iris Eder. In addition, Martha was a step-grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and aunt to many nieces and nephews, as well as a friend to many. She was preceded in death by her father, Delmer Jeffers, her mother Opal Eder, her step-father Phil Eder, a grandson Harland Woodruff, brothers Vaughan Jeffers, Billie Gene Jeffers and Philip Eder, and son-in-law Richard McDonald.
