Obituary of Donald Gordon Lankin
Donald Gordon Lankin, age 76, of Camdenton, Missouri, departed this life on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at Lake Regional Health System, Osage Beach, Missouri.
Donald was born February 5, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Wesley and Vera (Pfaff) Lankin.
Donald joined the United States Army, faithfully serving his country in the Korean War.
He was united in marriage on July 7, 1956 to Marguerite Attinello, in Lawrence, Massachusetts.
Donald was a graduate of Murray State College. He worked for Mallinckrodt Medical as an Associate Director of International Clinical Research.
Donald loved all water sports, golf, fishing, snow skiing, bowling, and tennis. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and served as an elder. He sang in the Lake Area Corral and was a member of the Elks. He was a good friend to all and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Donald is survived by his wife, Marge; one son, Mark and his wife Debra of Plano, Texas; three daughters Dawn Marie Culbertson of Columbia, Missouri, Cheryl Cullen and her husband Ronald of St. Peters, Missouri and Lisa Zielinski and her husband Thomas of Auburn Hills, Michigan; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren; one sister Mary Jane Smithen and her husband Harry of Lewiston, Michigan, along with many relatives and friends.
