Obituary of Royal H. Meier
Royal �Roy� Henry Meier, age 75, of Lake Ozark, Missouri, departed this life on Friday, October 7, 2011 at his residence in Lake Ozark.
Roy was born November 10, 1935 in New Baden, Illinois the son of Theodore and Helen (Irving) Meier.
He was united in marriage to Marlene Kulage on May 10, 1958.
Roy joined the United States Army and proudly served his country in Korea.
Roy was employed as a sheet metal worker in the construction industry. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, softball, baseball and watching all kinds of sports. Roy loved celebrating the holidays, especially the Fourth of July and Christmas. He always looked forward to these celebrations and was known to spend a little more than he should so that everyone would have a good time.
Roy is survived by his wife Marlene of the home; two sons, Mike of Springfield, Missouri and Gary and his wife, Vicky, of Kansas City, Missouri; two daughters, Sherri Hedrick and her husband, Bryan, of Kaiser, Missouri and Sandy Meier of Jefferson City, Missouri; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; one sister,, Betty Marshall and her husband Bill, of St. Louis, Missouri and many other relatives and friends.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents.
