Obituary of Leatha Easter Daniels

Leatha Easter Daniels of Queen Creek, Arizona, formerly of Camdenton, Missouri, departed this life on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Gilbert Hospital in Gilbert, Arizona at the age of 91 years, 10 months and 4 days. Leatha was born December 18, 1919 in Delaware, Oklahoma the daughter of Jessie James and Minnie Florence (Moulder) Jackson. Leatha was united in marriage September 5, 1938 to Ted Mark Whitworth who preceded her in death on April 2, 1976. On January 21, 1978 she married Edward P. Daniels who preceded her in death on June 7, 2005. Leatha was a loving and devoted homemaker. In her spare time, she enjoyed quilting and crafts. She was a member of Macks Creek Chapter No. 20 Order of the Eastern Star in Macks Creek, Missouri for over 50 years and a dual member with Erie Star Chapter No. 332 OES in Camdenton. Leatha is survived by her son Gary Whitworth and wife, Phyllis, of Chandler Heights, Arizona; her step-son David Daniels and wife, Bonnie, of Lebanon, Missouri; her daughter Patricia J. Kaup and husband, Jim, of Maricopa, Arizona; her step-daughter Marie Wallace of Kansas City, Missouri; her brother, James Alvin Jackson of Gravois Mills, Missouri; five grandchildren, Wendy Lynn Rigby, Mark Kaup, Troy Kaup and wife, Deby, Brian Whitworth and Cary Whitworth; four great-granddaughters; two great-grandsons; numerous nieces and nephews; along with several other relatives and friends. In addition to her husbands, Ted and Edward, Leatha was preceded in death by four brothers, Burley, Estle, Vaughn and Donald and one sister Vergie George.
