Obituary of Ruby J. Mann
Ruby J. Mann, age 87, of Monroe, Louisiana, formerly of Lake Ozark, Missouri, departed this life on Monday, October 31, 2011 at Glenwood Hospital in Monroe, Louisiana.
Ruby was born April 1, 1924 in Steelville, Missouri, the daughter of Robert and Lilly (Harmon) Halbert.
Ruby was united in marriage on March 6, 1945 in St. Louis, Missouri to Bruce Mann, who preceded her in death on July 19, 2001.
Ruby is survived by her daughter, Dr. Christine Livek and husband Aaron of Monroe, Louisiana; one sister, Bell Wallis of St. Louis, Missouri; two granddaughters, Meagan Livek of Eldon, Missouri and Michelle Shaner of Rocky Mount, Missouri; one great-granddaughter, Ruby Livek as well as several other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bruce; two brothers, Jim and Glen; and three sisters, Blanch, Dolly and Mae.
Ruby and Bruce owned and operated Red Deer Resort in Lake Ozark for over 31 years. Ruby was an extremely caring and giving person, always willing to help anyone in need. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends and loved bowling. More than anything, Ruby loved her family dearly and enjoyed caring for and pampering them as much as possible.
Ruby was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and a caring neighbor and friend to all who knew her.
