Obituary of William Henry Springer

William (Bill) Henry Springer, age 67, of Lake Ozark, Missouri departed this life on Friday, January 20, 2012 at his residence in Lake Ozark. Bill was born October 19, 1944 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Huron and Martha (Smith) Springer. Bill was united in marriage on December 11, 1971 in Granite City, Illinois, to Patricia Files, and together they had shared the past 40 years until his death. Bill worked for the General Motors Company in St. Louis, Missouri for over 44 years. He enjoyed playing golf as often as he could and among his many hobbies were woodworking, drawing and painting. Bill loved spending time outdoors and enjoyed fishing in his spare time. More than anything, Bill loved his family and enjoyed the times spent together with them. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Patricia, of the home; six daughters, Dawn Veach of St. Peters, Missouri, Tammy Francis of Kansas City, Missouri, Kristina Warner and husband, Phillip, of Granite City, Illinois, Sandra Hoener of St. Peters, Missouri, Shannon Wilkins and husband, Kevin, of Wasceca, Minnesota and Michelle Guebert and husband, John, of St. Peters, Missouri; eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, as well as several other relatives and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Joseph, and one great-grandson, Kyle Gibson, Jr.
