Obituary of Harold Dewey Hudson
Harold Dewey Hudson, age 85, of Four Seasons, Missouri, departed this life on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, Missouri.
Harold was born in Enterprise, Alabama on May 14, 1926. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Ruby Hudson, and sisters, Sara Reynolds and Loelle Donaghue.
He was united in marriage to Nancy Lesch on December 28, 1979 and together they lovingly shared 32 years until his death.
Harold joined the Navy in 1944 and served on a Patrol Craft in the European Theater of Operations, patrolling for subs and minesweeping in the English Channel and North Sea. He received the European Campaign Medal with one Bronze Star and the World War II Victory Medal. He also served as a First Lieutenant in the Army during the Korean Conflict.
He worked with the Bemis Packaging Company as Vice President of Sales until his retirement in 1989. After retirement Harold and Nancy moved to the Gulf Coast of Alabama and then to the Lake area in June of 1996.
Harold was actively involved in the community as President of the Lake Ozark Rotary Club, past President and Counselor of Chapter 493 of Score, was and Elder of Lake Presbyterian Church and Board Member of Dogwood Animal Shelter.
He is survived by his wife Nancy, one daughter Roxanne Wallace and grandsons, Michael and Bryan Wallace of Valley Park, Missouri. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and many good friends.
Interment with full military honors will be held Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Jefferson Barracks in St. Louis, Missouri.
