Obituary of Ervin E. Schmidt

Ervin E. Schmidt, age 77, of Lake Ozark, Missouri, departed this life on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at Osage Beach Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Osage Beach, Missouri. Ervin was born October 8, 1934 in Belle Plaine, Minnesota, the son of Emil J. and Verona (Buszmann) Schmidt. Ervin had served his country proudly in the United States Army. He was married July, 1976 in Las Vegas, Nevada to Linda Nelson and together they had shared the past 35 years until his death. Ervin was employed most of his life with pipe line companies, working as an estimator. He enjoyed snow skiing, fishing and spending time with family. Ervin was a member of Lake Presbyterian Church. Ervin is survived by his wife Linda of the home; one step-son, Larry R. Peak of Osage Beach, Missouri; two sons, Daniel Schmidt of Osage Beach, Missouri and Jeffrey Schmidt and wife, Tiffany, of Lake Elsinore, California; one daughter, Jennifer Turner and husband, Will, of Corona, California; one sister, Vera Hillstrom, of Eauclaire, Wisconsin; six grandchildren, Alex Peak, Dylan Peak, Aidan Schmidt, Lily Schmidt, Caleb Turner and Audri Lyn Turner; as well as several other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Alvin Schmidt and four sisters, Leona Huber, Betty Preiss, Lorraine Schmidt and Esther Schmidt.
