Obituary of Neva Lorene Willis

Neva Lorene Willis, age 88, of Macks Creek, Missouri, departed this life on Sunday, March 18, 2012 at Windsor Estates in Camdenton, Missouri. Neva was born July 27, 1923 in Celt, Missouri, the daughter of Emory Thomas and Minnie Rzeta Swanigan Thomas. She was united in marriage on April 10, 1943 in Camdenton, Missouri to Bert Willis, who preceded her in death on October 27, 2001. Neva was a loving mother and grandmother who devoted her life to making a wonderful home for her family and friends. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, and mushroom hunting. More than anything, Neva loved her family dearly and treasured every moment she spent with them. Neva was a life time member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She was saved in her early twenties in a three room log house and her altar was a bag of potatoes. Neva is survived by her son, Richard, of Macks Creek, Missouri, and daughter, Ruth Ann Stoufer and her husband, Donald, of Macks Creek; three grandchildren, Russell and Terry Willis, and Lee Huber, all of Macks Creek, Missouri; four great- grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren; five step grandchildren; Steve, Mike, Ronnie, and Lisa Wert, all of Macks Creek, and Rhonda Milligan of Independence, Missouri; twelve step- great grandchildren and four great great step grandchildren along with several other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bert; her son, Benny Gene Willis in 1948; and daughter-in-law Leota Willis, on November 8, 2004.
