Obituary of Rose Ida Ziegler

Rose Ida Ziegler, age 89, of Camdenton, Missouri, departed this life peacefully on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. Rose was born January 6, 1923 in Lauda-Baden, Germany, to George and Paula (Vieaneisel) Stark. She met the love of her life in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin when a dashing enlisted man asked her to dance. She later married that soldier, Nelson Anthony Ziegler, on June 24, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois. Together, they danced to Mack the Knife for 65 beautiful years. Rose was a loving wife and mother who devoted her life to setting a good example and making a wonderful home for her family in Worth, Illinois. She raised her children the old fashioned way-with faith, hard work, and love. She prayed the Rosary every day and always put others needs before her own. The Ozarks were her little slice of heaven. Known as Grandma Rose, she was a devoted counselor and friend to hundreds of lost souls thru her many years of prison ministry at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Camdenton, Missouri. Preceded in death by her third child, Richard Lee, Rose is survived by her loving husband, Nelson; her children, William (Cheri) Ziegler, of West Chicago, Illinois; Peggy (Gary) Kling, of Cedar City, Utah; Diane (Thomas) Stiers, of Mokena, Illinois; Janet (Dale) Lear, of Camdenton, Missouri; her twins, Rosemary Christine and John (Carol) Ziegler, both of Lemont, Illinois; her baby, Raymond Ziegler, of Joliet, Illinois; and two brothers, Hugo and Walter (Norma) Stark, of Camdenton, Missouri.
