Obituary of Floyed Vernon Pollard

Floyd Vernon Pollard, age 89, of Camdenton, Missouri, departed this life on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Windsor Estates in Camdenton, Missouri. Floyd was born November 25, 1922 in Independence, Missouri, the son of John and Frances (Fehr) Pollard. He was united in marriage to Bertha Floyd on June 28, 1947, in Kansas City, Missouri, and together they shared 64 years of marriage until his death. Floyd worked as a traffic controller for the Montgomery Ward Company and later worked in real estate. He enjoyed tinkering with things in his garage and playing cards. Floyd loved music and enjoyed square dancing as well. He loved spending the winter in the Rio Grand Valley. Floyd was a life time member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6514 in Osage Beach, Missouri, having served in World War II. Floyd is survived by his loving wife, Bertha, of the home; one sister Margaret Hendrick of the state of Wisconsin along with several other relatives and friends.
