Obituary of Charlie Glor

Charlie Glor, age 80, of Branch/Macks Creek, Missouri, passed away April 9, 2012, at Kansas City VA Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri. Charlie was born August 9, 1931, in Branch, Missouri, the son of Oliver Burton and Mollie (Cureton) Glor. Charlie proudly served in the United States Army from 1952 to 1954. Charlie retired from Lowell Press in Kansas City Missouri in April 1986. He was a member of Graphic Communications Local C-16. In his younger years, he held several jobs including Alton Box & Board, Stephenson�s Orchards and Ashcroft. He loved his hobbies. Charlie excelled in Bowling and was on several bowling leagues over the years. He was an above average shot, whether with a rifle or bow. Fishing was a very important part of Charlie�s life. He played baseball while attending Mill School and continued the love of the game through out his life. He loved the game of football and watching it. He was a regular attendee at his twin grandson�s games in Turner, Kansas. He was a member of Countryside United Methodist Church in Raytown Missouri; he was baptized on April 22, 1973 alongside his children. Charlie leaves behind his two daughters; Beth Cooper and her husband, Jake, of Macks Creek, Missouri, and Gina Weaver and her husband, John, of Kansas City, Missouri; three sons, Roy Glor and his wife, Mary, of Raytown, Missouri, Paul Glor and his wife, Trudy, of Macks Creek, Missouri and Steve Cadwell and Chris, of Kansas City, Kansas; one sister, Jessie Rork of Lahoma, Oklahoma; nineteen grandchildren and thirteen great- grandchildren, along with several other relatives and friends. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents Oliver and Mollie Glor; four brothers; two sisters, and one grandson, Ryan Hughes. Charlie will be deeply missed by all his family and friends, and all those who knew and loved him.
