Obituary of Lois J. Allen

Lois J. Allen, age 74, of Osage Beach, Missouri, departed this life on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at her residence in Osage Beach. Lois was born January 5, 1938 in Pennsylvania, the daughter of Audley and Mabel (Allen) Baker. Lois was united in marriage in 1970 to Jerry Allen in Flagstaff, Arizona, and together they had shared the past 52 years of marriage until her death. Lois had worked as a caregiver in various nursing facilities. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, gardening, puzzles, computer games and cooking. She also enjoyed reading, building things and interior design. More than anything, Lois loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Lois is survived by her loving husband, Jerry, of the home; two sons, Kenneth Ellsworth Chappell and wife Jenny, of Osage Beach, Missouri and Darrell Allen of Osage Beach, Missouri; two daughters, Janet Jennings and husband Ray, of Crocker, Missouri and Carmel Lynn Chrismen of Celina, Ohio; two brothers, Dusty Baker and Donald Baker and wife, Sandy; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, along with several other relatives and friends. Lois was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Bill and Robert, and four grandchildren.
