Obituary of James Michael Moore

James Michael Moore, 63, of Roach, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Lake Regional Health System, Osage Beach, Missouri. James was born January 14, 1949 in Kansas City, Missouri to Phillip E. Moore, Jr. and Maxine Frances Moore. James graduated from Raytown South High School in 1967. He attended the University of Missouri at Kansas City and served in the United States Marine Corps. After returning from the Marine Corps, he served a three year apprenticeship for Kansas City Tile and Mantel Company to become a journeyman ceramic tile installer. He was a retired member of the Marble Masons, Terrazzo Workers and Tile Layers Union Local No. 3 of Kansas City, Missouri. James enjoyed fishing and hunting and was an avid deer hunter. His favorite hobby was cutting and splitting firewood. He often mentioned it was therapeutic for him. James is survived by his wife, Nancy, of the home; two daughters, Christy Dawn Williams and her husband, Jon, of Leawood, Kansas and Jamie Michelle Voelker and her husband, Al, of Raymore, Missouri; three grandchildren, Luke and Gabriel Voelker and Addison Williams; three brothers, Phillip Moore (Sandy) of Warsaw, Missouri, Lloyd Moore of North Kansas City, and Orville Moore (Donna) of Independence, Missouri; four sisters, Kathy Dean (Ed) of Watertown, Wisconsin, Gerry Murray (Steve) of Lawson, Missouri, Jean Little (Brian) of North Kansas City, and Martha Moore of Raytown, Missouri; one uncle, Richard Moore of Raytown, Missouri; eleven nephews and three nieces.
