Obituary of Lula Maye Fabyanic

Lula Maye Fabyanic, age 78, of Osage Beach, Missouri, departed this life on Friday, June 29, 2012 at Vitas Hospice Care at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Lula was born March 27, 1934 in Dixon, Missouri, the daughter of Bennett and Edna Faye (Slone) Pendleton. She was united in marriage on January 23, 1953 in Dixon, Missouri to Frank Valentine Fabyanic, who preceded her in death on November 24, 1991. Lula had worked most recently as a real estate agent with Century 21 Lake of the Ozarks. Throughout the years she had worked as a switchboard operator for McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis and for Fort Leonard Wood. She had also worked for the Head Start in Linn Creek, Missouri and owned and operated a daycare in her home. Lula loved baking and cooking and especially enjoyed family gatherings. Lula was a devoted wife and helpmate to her husband Frank and a loving mother, grandmother and great-mother who created many fond memories for her family and friends. Lula is survived by one son, Frank Val Fabyanic and wife, Sheryl, of Lancaster, Missouri; one daughter, Susan Foster and husband, David, of Lone Jack, Missouri; one brother, Bennett A. Pendleton of Marshfield, Missouri; one sister Shirley Helton and husband, Paul, of Springfield, Missouri; four grandchildren, Stacey Simmons, Sara Foster, Mary Fabyanic, and Rachel Sly; six great-grandchildren, Myra, Molly, Micah, Falicity, Miriana, and Jameson; several nieces and nephews as well as several other relatives and friends. Lula was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Frank, and one brother Bob. In addition to services listed there will be a graveside visitation from 3:30-4:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, at Dixon Cemetery in Dixon, Missouri, with graveside service and interment following at 4:00 p.m.
