Obituary of Tozia Helene Wilhelm

Tozia Wilhelm, our beloved mother and grandma, passed away on June 23, 2012. Tozia was trained as an R.N. at Philadelphia General Hospital. Her first job was at University of Chicago Hospital where she met, Warren, her husband of 54 years. They wed In March, 1945, started their family in 1946, and moved to Rochester, MN. In the early 50�s Tozia, Warren and the family moved to the Kansas City area where they lived for 35 years. During their time in Kansas City, Tozia was an active participant and member in the Kansas City Philharmonic League, Heart Association, Women�s Council at UMKC, Homestead Country Club, and Village Presbyterian Church. In the early 80�s, Tozia and Warren retired to the Lake of the Ozarks where Tozia continued her civic involvement with the Lake Arts Council, the Four Seasons HOA and was one of the first female members of Rotary at the Lake. After Warren�s death in 1999, she remained at the lake and continued to open her home to friends and family until she moved to Marletta, GA in 2008. While in Marletta, she was involved with P.E.O., a women�s philanthropic organization, and active in the Winnwood Retirement Community�s residents council where she helped to welcome newcomers. Tozia was preceded in death by her husband, Warren, and son, Bob. She is survived by her son Rick, of Southlake, Texas, and don, of Lake Ozark, Missouri; her daughter, Nancy Ford, of Woodstock, Georgia; and seven well-loved grandchildren: Keri, Traci, Alex, Brittany, Carly, Taylor and Andrew. Tozia blessed this world with her kind and encouraging words to all she met and her family will miss her deeply.
