Obituary of Lisa Anne Thompson

Lisa Anne Thompson, age 44, of Lake Ozark, Missouri departed this life, Tuesday, August 7, 2012 in Columbia, Missouri. Lisa was born January 10, 1968, in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Terry M. Johnston and Lynn Sordelet. Lisa's passion was working as a special education teacher at School of the Osage Jr. High in Osage Beach for over 16 years. Working with children was a natural calling for Lisa and she held such pride for all of her students. Lisa is survived by her beloved son, Zachary Michael Burns and her beloved daughter, Hannah Anne Thompson; her step-father, Hugh Denbow and step-mother, Christine Johnston; her grandmother, Ruth Godefroy; two brothers, Michael Johnston and Brett Johnston; one sister, Shannon Johnston; and many other relatives and friends. A private service for the family will be held in St. Louis. In lieu of flowers to honor Lisa's love for children donations may be made to the Children's Trust Fund Foundation of Missouri.
