Obituary of Laura Jo Garcia

Laura Jo (Colyer) Garcia, age 36, passed away August 21, 2012 at Columbia University Hospital from severe brain trauma sustained in a car accident on Sunday August 19, 2012. Our daughter was a wonderful mother, daughter and teacher. She was a deacon and member of Community Christian Church. She married John Garcia on August 10, 2012. Laura graduated from Camdenton High School, 1994 and from Central Missouri State University with degrees in Early Childhood development and Elementary Education. She taught school in St. Louis, Missouri, Troy, Missouri and School of the Osage. She worked with handicapped children and was wonderful with them. She is survived by her three children Skylar Colyer, Brook Haley and Oliver Haley; her parents Bruce and Sally Colyer; her brother Brian Colyer; and her husband John Garcia.
