Elliott Parker II

Obituary of Elliott F. Parker II

Elliott F. Parker II, age 81, of Climax Springs, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, Missouri.

Elliott was born April 14, 1940 in Moline, Illinois, the son of Dr. Elliott F. and Helen (Jones) Parker.

Elliott was married to the love of his life Diane Burich on November 7, 1958 in Idaho. They shared 62 wonderful years together.

Elliott enjoyed life. He was dedicated to his work, from which he retired in 2000 after 30 years with John Deere as an electrician. Besides working at John Deere, he also owned his own business, El’s Electric. Elliott was a family man who loved good humor, especially around the dinner table. His children were referred to as numbers by him and not by names. He enjoyed racing stock cars and showing horses. Elliott had a few sayings that his family always remembers such as “Things can be fixed but people can’t” or “You broke it, you will learn to fix it” and “No place but up”.  He was a wonderful man who enjoyed life, humor, and working. He had his most treasured times with his family. Elliott was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend to many.

Elliott is survived by his wife Diane Parker of the home; his children Wendi Schoenekase (Steven) of Labadie, Missouri, Kenneth A. (Tony) Parker (Donna) of Portland, Oregon, Jennifer Parker-Moore (Gregory) of Olathe, Kansas, and Rebecca Parker of Moline, Illinois; his nine grandchildren Alexis, Amanda, Andrew, Drew, Trisha, Alex, Shane, Parker, and Nick; his four great-grandchildren Anna, Luke, Fritz, and Rilyn; his sister Joyce Bottoms of Dubuque, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends.

Elliott was preceded in death by his parents Dr. Elliott and Helen Parker and an infant son.

At Elliott’s request, there is no service planned at this time.
