Obituary of Otis Jr Barnes

Otis Jr. Barnes, age 71, of Osage Beach, Missouri, died Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. 

Otis was born August 23, 1949, in Monroe, Louisiana. He served his country proudly in the US Army, and was honorably discharged in 1973, receiving a Purple Heart. 

Otis is survived by his son Jonathan Hahn, of Germany; his daughter, Natascha Romans, of Indianapolis, IN; three grandchildren, Hailey Romans, James Romans Jr., and Lio Hahn; along with special friends Michael McDaniel, Rusty Cash, Samantha Pogue, Paula Johnson, and Tammy Peters. 

Otis worked as a bail bondsman for close to 15 years. Along with this, he loved martial arts, mastering several black belts in different styles, and writing and composing music.

Services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, July 9, 2021, at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Osage Beach, Missouri.  The family will welcome friends for visitation from 10:00-11:00 am, prior to services at the funeral home.

Interment will be at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery-Fort Leonard Wood in Waynesville, Missouri.
