Obituary of Jacqueline Mae Flanery
Jacqueline, known to most as Jackie, was born to Bernard and Vera Brink on September 13, 1941 in Marysville, CA. She grew up In the Marysville/Hallwood area with many aunts, uncles and cousins. She and Carl met in High School and they married on November 23, 1957. They had 63 years together that were full of love, adventure, life, happiness, and loss.
Jackie lived in the Sacramento area of California most of her life and retired to the Osage Beach area of Missouri where she resided in Roach and lastly in Camdenton. Though much of her life was spent as a homemaker raising her six children, she did have a period where she worked at USPS, Airsignal, and California Hospital Association where she made life-long friends. When she retired, she and Carl spent several years taking month-long trips in their motorhome, many times bringing along their children and grandchildren. She enjoyed playing Skip Bo, Uno, and Pay Day at home as well as on these trips. These are memories the family will treasure.
Jackie had a strong faith and love of God. She loved to sing and play traditional Christian hymns on her piano and had a beautiful voice. She took great joy in worshipping and studying His word. We take comfort in knowing she is singing with God by her side now.
To Jackie, her family was one of her greatest blessings. Her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were her great love and pride. The walls of her home are covered with pictures of them and she loved showing them off. Jackie and Carl’s house is where many of the large family gatherings and holiday events have taken place over the years. She loved hosting the events and bringing the family together.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years Carl Flanery, five children Pam (Phil) Fischer, Debbie (Dennis) Root, Kim (Frank) Bracamonte, Lori Flanery, and daughter-in- law, Christa Flanery; grandchildren Shannon (Richard) Curnutt, Logan Jensen, Michelle (fiancée Russ) Donathan, Matthew (Kara) Fischer, Blair Lance, Zac (fiancée Jasmyne) Fischer, Nick Bracamonte, Connor Flanery, Hayden Flanery, Gabrielle Cammack, by marriage Sarah (Steve) Christophel, Becky (Kevin) Fogarty; great grand-children Nate Curnutt, Bradley Curnutt, Bailey Taylor, Brianna Taylor, Anthony Taylor, Oliver Fischer, Landon Fischer, Owen Fischer, Carter Fischer, by marriage Case Fogarty, Audrey Christophel, Adley Fogarty; sister Marcia (Joe) DeGraw, two brothers Mel (Ludy) Brink and Gerry (Rosemary) Brink, along with many in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
