Obituary of Donna Kaye Barnes

Donna Kaye (Edwards Ward) Barnes, age 73, of Camdenton, Missouri, passed away Friday, July 23, 2021, at University Hospital, Columbia, Missouri.

Donna was born April 3, 1948, in Dexter, Missouri, the daughter of Mitchell and Vera (Waggenor) Edwards.

On April 18, 1982, she was united in marriage to Daniel (Dan) Lee Barnes.

Preceding her in death were her beloved parents.

Survivors include her husband of the home, her son, Scott (Yvonne) Ward of Bonner Springs, Kansas, and sister Jeannie (Wayne) Barker of Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Donna was also a loving grandmother to Ashley Jackson and Abbie Foster, step-grandmother to Heather Kenworthy and Erin DeRusso, and numerous great-grandchildren.

For years Donna worked at William H Pickett, PC in Kansas City, Missouri as Controller. In 1993, she and Dan relocated from Raytown, Missouri to Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, where they owned two waterfront restaurants, Quackers on the Water and Tequillaville. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
