Obituary of Thomas Durkin

Thomas Durkin, 57 of Blue Springs, Missouri was born November 3, 1963, in Freeport, New York, the son of William and Marion (Hirn) Durkin. He departed this life peacefully on Saturday, August 14, 2021.

On February 16, 1991, Tommy married Julia Hall at Our Holy Redeemer Church in Freeport, New York

Tommy started his own roofing business and was a loving husband and father of five children. He was known for his compassionate spirit, generosity, friendship, loyalty and a never-ending love for his family. With a larger-than-life personality, Tommy left a mark on everyone he met and friendships were soon forged and fostered.

Tommy was preceded in death by his brother Dennis, his mother Marion and father William. He is survived by his wife Julia and all five children: Marin (and Jeff) Parks, Dennis, Liam, Jack and Norah. He is also survived by his sisters Patricia Neary and Catherine Meister, and brother William Durkin, as well as many nieces and nephews, in laws and friends.

 Memorial Services will be held from 2:00-4:00 pm, Saturday, September 11, 2021, at First Baptist Church of Blue Springs: 4500 Little Blue Pkwy, Independence, MO.
