Obituary of Bill Essman
William 'Bill' Thomas Essman, age 74, of Lake Ozark, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at Lake Regional Health System, Osage Beach, Missouri.
Bill was born November 15, 1933 in St. Joseph, Missouri, a son to Thomas Robert and Opal (Walkup) Essman. He married Eleanor Dearinger and had shared 51 years together at the time of his passing.
Bill loved sharing the Gospel with everyone. He enjoyed helping his neighbors and friends and his fellow union members. Bill loved the lake life and enjoyed socializing with his family and friends around the area. He was known for shooting at the ducks on his dock to scare them off.
Bill had worked as a railroad switchman for Burlington Northern in Kansas City for 38 years.
Survivors include his wife Eleanor of the home; one son, Thomas Essman and wife Patty of Kansas City and two grandchildren, Christy Lister and husband Basil and Tom Essman.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Robert who passed away at the age of 7.
