Obituary of Rita Yvonne Wood

Rita Yvonne Wood, age 60, of Macks Creek, Missouri passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at her residence in Macks Creek. Rita was born March 4, 1948 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, a daughter to Emanuel and Elena (Martinez) Gomez. She was united in marriage to Michael Wood on February 28, 1968. Rita was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her husband Michael of the home; one son, Michael Earl Wood of Slidell, Louisiana; five daughers, Rochell Marie Kurucar and husband Paul of Slidell, Louisiana, Margaretta Diane Wood Lachney of Macks Creek, Missouri, Claudine Febera Tardo and husband Quinn of Slidell, Louisiana, Marie Odile Klobas and husband Ronald of Slidell, Louisiana and Rita Yvonne Wood of Slidell, Louisiana; one brother, Roger; two sisters, Rachelle and Margaret; eight grandchildren, Brandi Nicole Ward, Jessica Marie Klobas, Melissa Lee Kurucar, Ashley Nicole Klobas, Quinn Anthony Tardo, Dylan Patrick Suddeth, Sam Michael Tardo and John George Cook, and one step-father, Emilio Castillo of Sterling Heights, Michigan along with several nieces and nephews. Rita was preceded in death by one son, Michael Dale Wood, one sister, Yolanda and one grandson, Mark Ryan Martinez.
