Obituary of Donald Lewis Dannan

Donald Lewis Dannan, age 88, of Linn Creek, Missouri, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2008 at Osage Beach Health Care Center, Osage Beach, Missouri. He was born February 7, 1920 in Pekin, Illinois, a son to Benjamin and Clara (Steger) Dannan. Donald was united in marriage on January 1, 1953 to Beatrice Brooks and they had shared 55 years together at the time of his passing. Donald had served our country proudly in the United States Army Air Corps. He worked for the Corp of Engineers for 37 years as an accountant where he oversaw the funding of many dam projects through out the United States. Donald enjoyed golfing, biking, the St. Louis Cardinals, and was very active in many different sports. He was actively involved in the work of his church, St. George Episcopal Church of Camdenton, and for five years had been a greeter at the Wal-Mart store of Osage Beach. Surviving are his wife Beatrice of the home. Donald was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Benjamin Jr. (who was killed during World War II) and Dick and one sister, Sarah Steiner.
