Obituary of Oswald E. Kinast

Oswald E. Kinast, age 91, of St. Louis , Missouri died Monday afternoon, April 14, at Windsor Estates in Camdenton , Missouri . He was born on December 3, 1916 in the Bronx , of New York City , New York , son of the late Oswald and Elizabeth Kinast. He attended college at NYU, Lafayette University , Columbia College and MIT. He served in the Army Air Corp, which became the 12th Air Force attached to the Fifth Army in the North African and European theaters. Ozzie was married on April 12, 1946 in Brentwood , Missouri to Marian R. Buehler and they resided in St Louis , Missouri . He served as treasurer and chaplain of American Legion Post 103 in Maplewood; was a member of the American Chemical Society for 60 years and the American Society of Applied Spectroscopy; was active in Boy Scouts of America and PTA; a volunteer at Lutheran Hospital, Forest Park Hospital, Meals on Wheels and the Alzheimer�s Association in St. Louis, with over 7000 hours of service. Ozzie will be remembered for "a lifetime of learning and sharing his life experiences�. He is survived by four children: Richard Kinast and wife Sue of Shallowater, Texas; Kathleen Werdehausen and husband Tom of Jefferson City, Missouri; David Kinast and wife Cindi of Des Peres, Missouri; Susan Hale and husband Bill of Camdenton, Missouri; fourteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
