Obituary of William 'Bill' Tass

William J. �Bill� Tass of Eldon, Missouri went to be with our Lord on Thursday, May 8, 2008. His children and his many friends will sorely miss him. He was born March 31, 1917 in St. Louis, Missouri. In September of 1970 he was united in marriage to Pearl (Young) who preceded him in death. Bill retired after 35 years from General Motors in St. Louis and moved to the lake. He was very active in the community. He served as a security guard for the Village of Four Seasons, and was a greeter at Wal-Mart. Bill was a member of the Gideon�s, the Lion�s Club, the Masonic Organization and had volunteered many hours at Hope House in Lake Ozark. He served in World War II in the Navy for four years. Bill was a dedicated member of Horseshoe Bend Baptist Church for 20 years. Bill loved the old hymns and requested the Old Rugged Cross and Amazing Grace. Bill loved to travel and was always taking long vacations. He also loved fine automobiles; Cadillac, Lincoln and two convertibles�a G6 Pontiac and a yellow Corvette convertible that he drove up until the last month of his life. �Bill, we already miss you and loved your yen for life�. He is survived by five children; Roberta Tass of Norfolk, Virginia, Bill Tass, Jr., and wife Wanna of Flippin, Arkansas, Kirk Tass and wife Deborah of Florissant, Missouri, Sherry Robbison of Florissant, Missouri, Barry Tass and wife Mindy of Norfolk, Virginia, six grandchildren, one great-grandchild and many other relatives and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Pearl and one sister.
