Obituary of Jack D. Slater

Jack D. Slater, age 82, of Osage Beach, Missouri passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at Lake Regional Health Center, Osage Beach. Jack was born July 5, 1925 in Fairbury, Nebraska, a son to Enoch and Alice (Strum) Slater. On June 4, 1996 he was united in marriage to Sheila Willwerth who survives. Jack was a Veteran of Foreign War and had served his duty as a Merchant Marine. In his spare time he loved coon hunting, fishing, cutting wood and working in general. He was an avid Nebraska Cornhusker fan and loved watching their games. Jack loved his family and his dogs and will be sorely missed by them. Jack is survived by his wife Sheila of the home; one son, Terry Slater and wife Kathy of Sugarland, Texas; one daughter, Darcy Slater of Osage Beach, Missouri; two grandchildren, Janna and Kayla; also Sheila�s three children, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Marcilline ��Cenie�, and a son, Mark.
