Obituary of C. May Phillips

C.May Phillips, age 94 of Brumley, Missouri passed away Thursday, June 12, 2008 at the Osage Beach Health Care Facility, Osage Beach, Missouri. She was born June 9, 1914 in Brumley, Missouri, a daughter to Samuel and Prudie Vernettie (Robinett) Phillips. May had a career in the education field as a teacher that spanned 39 years. She was a lifetime member of the Brumley Baptist Church where for 20 years she served as treasurer. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma and of the Miller County Historical Society. She was a great supporter of many charities around the area. Among her many great attributes, May raised her great niece Nicole from a very young age. She is survived by her great niece Nicole Watson and her husband Zak of Columbia, Missouri and Nicole�s children, Audrey May, Max Gordon and Martha Watson, one sister-in-law, Peggy Phillips of Osage Beach, Missouri and several other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Nathan Phillips; and two sisters, Mamie Winfrey and Thelma Byrd.
