Obituary of Shirley Mae Thaxton

Shirley Thaxton, age 70, of Richland, Missouri passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2008 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Linn Creek, Missouri. She was born July 31, 1937 in St. Louis, Missouri, a daughter to Pete and Mary (Stoffey) Turner. Shirley was united in marriage on December 29, 1970 to Gerald Thaxton who preceded her in death on October 14, 2001. Shirley was a school teacher and a police officer, both in Richland, Missouri. She worked at the Senior Center in Richland and was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church of Richland. Surviving are one daughter, Sandra Boals and husband Wilford, of Camdenton, Missouri, four brothers, Dennis Turner, Raymond Turner and wife Jennie, Kenneth Turner and wife Donna all of St. Louis, Missouri, Thomas Turner and wife Karen of Popular Bluff, Missouri, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, parents and one granddaughter.
