Obituary of Irvin Henry Longmore

Irvin Henry Longmore, age 101, passed away Friday, September 26, 2008, at the home of his daughter in Sunrise Beach, Missouri. Irvin was born December 24, 1906 near Callaway, Nebraska, a son to L.C. and Mary Etta (Schreyer) Longmore. He graduated from Callaway High School and taught school for several years prior to taking up a lifetime of farming. Irvin was united in marriage on May 20, 1929 to Anna Marie Cropper. Irvin and Marie had two children; Myron Longmore of Melbourne, Florida and Jean Kinney of Sunrise Beach, Missouri. Around 1976, Irvin retired and the couple moved to Sargent, Nebraska. Mare died June 15, 2000, after 71 years of marriage. In January, 2005, Irvin moved to his daughter�s home in Sunrise Beach. He is survived by his two children; Myron and wife Alice of Melbourne, Florida and Jean Kinney of Sunrise Beach, Missouri; seven grandchildren: Michael Kinney and wife Mary of Severance, Colorado, Ronald Kinney and wife Kim of Omaha, Nebraska, Gary Kinney and wife Sharon of Severance, Colorado, Scott Longmore of Houston, Texas, Terry Longmore of Portland, Maine, Bruce Longmore and wife Donna of Atlanta, Georgia and Kathy Jenkins and husband Jim of Camdenton, Missouri; thirteen great-grandchildren and three great, great-grandchildren. Irvin was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, one brother and one grandson.
