Obituary of Marjorie Colleen Buchanan

Marjorie Colleen (Edwards) Buchanan, 74, passed away after a long illness on October 7, 2008, at the Osage Beach Health Care Center in Osage Beach, MO. Marge was born to Eldon and Laura Mae Edwards on March 30, 1933, in Maysville, MO; she was one of 8 children. Marge was united in marriage on November 3, 1957, with Bill Buchanan in Maysville, MO. They moved to Osage Beach with their 2 children in 1971 when Bill accepted a position with Farmer Foster Insurance in Camdenton, Missouri. Marge was the Office Secretary at the Camdenton Junior High for several years; she always loved working with the kids. After leaving the Junior High, she worked with her husband Bill at their insurance agency Buchanan Insurors. After retirement they enjoyed traveling in their RV; she loved warm weather, walking on the beach and especially her grandchildren.. Marge is survived by Bill, her beloved husband for 51 years, her daughter, Karla (Buchanan) Ascencio and her husband Gino of San Diego, CA, her son, Brent Buchanan and his wife Lynn (Shannon) Buchanan of Lexington, SC. Five grandchildren Eric, Allison, and Zachary Buchanan, and William Brimer and John Ascencio, 3 brothers (Robert, John and Harvey), 3 Sisters (Lois, Betty and Caroline) and many nieces and nephews, and her mother-in-law Ireta DeLapp. She was preceded in death by her parents and infant brother
