Obituary of Giles Mercier Whitten

Giles Mercier Whitten, age 76, of Camdenton, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at his residence. He was born September 6, 1932 in Paris, Texas, a son to Robert W. and Queenie H. (Mercier) Whitten. �Mercier� had served his country proudly in the United States Navy, and later he had a successful career in pharmaceutical sales. Mercier had a great love for horses. He was a member of the Osage Beach Elks Club, the Jazz Club and the Wednesday Night Happy Hour Club. He is survived by his long-time companion Lauradelle Warne of Camdenton, Missouri; daughters Joy Lynn Whitten of Houston, Texas and Danice Cox of Marshall, Texas; one grandchild Channing Leavelle and one great-grandchild Aubree. Mercier was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Diann.
