Obituary of John Clayton Rupard

John Clayton Rupard, Jr., age 51, of Columbia, Missouri, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2008 in Richland, Missouri. He was born November 8, 1956 in Columbia, Missouri, a son to John Clayton, Sr. and Rosalynn (Rice) Rupard. John was united in marriage on April 4, 1980 in Camdenton, Missouri to Betty Lytell and together they shared the last 28 years until his passing. John was a career military man. He had spent the last 33 years working in the Army Reserve and beginning in 1989 had served there as an Administrative Assistant. In his spare time he loved to watch NASCAR, football and boxing. But most important to him, were his wife and son and extended family. Survivors include his wife Betty of the home; one son, Dylan Alexander Rupard of the home; one brother, Mark Kevin Rupard and wife Connie of Normal, Illinois; three sisters, Linda Stone of Columbia, Missouri, Elaine Stratton and husband Mark of Columbia, Missouri and Teresa Ann Vance and husband Randy Joe of Tulsa, Oklahoma; nieces, Rebecca Rupard, Christy Stone, Tina Creason and husband Jeff, Amanda Michelle Vance, Amy Lynn Hinshaw, Amanda Marie Hinshaw, Emilie Hinshaw and Emma Jo Cornelison; nephews, Wade Rupard, John Henry Rupard and wife Kerensa, Thomas Dwayne Rupard and wife Karen, Britt Andrew Vance, Bradly Ryan Vance, James Edward Cornelison and wife Alissa; several great-nieces and nephews, along with several other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Thomas Dwayne Rupard.
